Oleg Klymyuk trained at the State Ballet Academy in Kyiv and joined Semperoper Ballett Dresden in 2003, where he became First Soloist in 2012. His performing career brought together major classical repertoire and contemporary work with choreographers including William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, John Neumeier, Mats Ek, Alexei Ratmansky and David Dawson.

Alongside his stage career, he completed studies in ballet pedagogy and modern choreography. In 2013 he helped stage William Forsythe’s In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated at Paris Opera Ballet, and in 2015 he assisted Forsythe in work with Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle.

In 2026, Klymyuk returned to the National Opera of Ukraine in Kyiv, the company where his own professional career had begun, as a stager of Forsythe’s choreography. Invited by the theatre, he transmitted Bach Duet and Slingerland Duet to dancers of the company. The works entered the National Opera’s repertoire and were presented there for the first time on 4 April 2026 as part of the 4 Legends Gala.

In 2012 he founded ART of and has since directed its artistic development, connecting precise classical training with repertoire, choreographic understanding, individual coaching and professional perspective.
